Business Phone Numbers for Every Kind of Company

Business phone numbers are the numbers customers dial to reach your company, and each one can ring on any phone your team uses.

We supply them to companies of every size, from a sole trader on a mobile to a group with several sites. You can move the numbers you already use, add new ones or start afresh.

What the Right Number Does for Your Business

A business phone number is often the first thing a customer notices about you. The right one makes you easy to find, easy to trust and easy to reach, and it stays with you as the company grows.

Because our numbers are virtual, a change of office, a new member of staff or a move to hybrid working never means a new number. You keep the one your customers already know, and we change where the calls ring.

Builds Trust

A number that looks established tells a new customer that a real business is at the other end of the line.

Easy to Reach

Each number can ring on a desk phone, a mobile, a laptop app, Microsoft Teams or a full business phone system.

Moves With Your Plans

When your plans change, the routing changes with them, and your number stays just as your customers know it.

Works Anywhere

Our numbers are virtual, which means they are not tied to a line or a building.

Choose the Right Type of Business Phone Number

Local Numbers (01 and 02)

A local area code shows customers that you belong to their community. We can supply a number for any UK town or city, or move the one you already have.

National 03 Numbers

An 03 number gives you a national presence without tying you to one place. Calls to it cost the same as calls to a standard UK landline.

Freephone 0800 and 0808

Callers pay nothing to ring a freephone number from a UK landline or mobile, which makes it easy for customers to get in touch.

International Numbers

Give customers in another country a number they can dial locally, with the calls arriving at your UK team. We support numbers in over 100 countries.

Business Phone Number Types at a Glance

This table compares geographic numbers (01 and 02) with non-geographic ones (03, 0800 and 0808), and shows what each costs your callers and where it works well.

Charges are set by the caller’s own provider within Ofcom’s rules, and the final cost depends on their tariff. Our pricing page covers plans for the full phone system. You can read more on the Ofcom website.

Find Business Phone Numbers for Your Area

We have written a page for each of the areas in our list. Each one explains the area code, the places it covers and how a local number is set up. You can see what to expect before you get in touch.

We cover every area of the UK, not only the ones listed here. These pages are simply the areas we have written about in detail.

We supply business phone numbers for every UK area code, including the towns, villages and islands that do not appear in the list. If you cannot find yours, tell us the place or the code and we will arrange a number for it.

Keep Your Existing Number or Start Afresh

If customers already know your number, there is rarely a reason to give it up. We can move it across from your current provider and agree a date that suits your business. Calls then carry on arriving as they always have.

Starting a new venture or opening another site? We can supply new numbers for any UK area code, and add an 03 or freephone number alongside if you would like one.

Many companies keep a local code for each branch and an 03 number for the national brand. Not sure which approach suits you? Tell us what you have now and where your customers are, and we will explain the options in plain English.

Getting Your Numbers Working

From the first conversation to the first call, this is how we get your numbers set up and ringing in the right places.

1

Tell Us What You Need

Tell us which areas you work in, how many numbers you need and which existing ones you would like to keep.

2

Choose or Move Numbers

Pick from available numbers in any UK area code, or we will arrange the move of the numbers you already use.

3

Set Your Call Routing

Decide where calls should ring: mobiles, desk phones, laptop apps or a shared team line, with different routes for different times of day.

4

Test Every Route

We place test calls to each number and route before launch, and we fix anything that does not behave as you expect.

5

Start Taking Calls

Once everything is in place, your numbers go live, and our UK-based support team stays on hand to help.

Business Phone Numbers That Work With Your Whole Setup

A number is only the front door. Calls also need somewhere to go. Ours work with Cloud PBX and Hosted PBX systems, with SIP trunking for firms that wish to keep an existing exchange, and with business mobiles.

Larger teams can add UCaaS for voice, video and messaging in one place, or CCaaS for busy contact centres. Routing can change whenever your plans do. If the office closes, calls can go to mobiles or another site, which supports business continuity.

We also supply fibre broadband and can plan it together with your numbers. If you would like a full phone system too, plans start from £8.99 a month per user. Our pricing page has the details.

International Business Phone Numbers

A local number in another country makes it easier for overseas customers to reach you, and it spares them the cost of an international call.

We supply inbound numbers in more than 100 countries, delivered over Tier 1 carriers, with the calls arriving at your UK phones or apps.

Availability and prices differ from country to country. Please tell us where your customers are and we will confirm what can be arranged. Pricing for international inbound numbers is quoted individually.

Which Business Phone Numbers Suit Your Sector?

Every sector uses its numbers differently. A solicitor wants a direct dial for each fee earner, while a haulier needs one number that reaches whoever is on shift. Here are the combinations we are asked for most often.

We match the numbers to the way your callers reach you, then set up the routing and look after it. Where a regulator publishes guidance, we have linked to it.
